What Causes Hair Loss in Young Women?

While baldness or hair loss might be a common problem among men, what many of you might not know is that it is a problem that is happening increasingly among women. Even the best hair loss products cannot fight hair loss of it stemms from an underlying medical condition. The number one key to treating hair loss among woman is getting the diagnosis right. If doctors can do this, than they can cure the medical condition first, and then follow up with some of the best hair growth products, or even the best hair regrowth products.
There are many reasons for hair loss among woman, including certain irregularities in hair growth, hormone changes, underlying medical conditions, and/or even cases of extreme stress or crash dieting can trigger hair loss. Hair loss is, however, becoming an increasingly common problem among even younger women. In fact, girls who are fifteen to sixteen years old even experience hair loss sometimes, although while this is not very common, it is also not rare.
There are a lot of treatment available for hair loss. But one thing you need to remember is that if you start losing hair, it is usually a good idea to see a doctor, as in women, usually, there is an underlying medical cause for the hair loss. A doctor can find the underlying problem, and usually stop hair loss without much trouble. More often than not, it is a simple problem that can be corrected either nutritionally, or with a common hair loss product. Only some cases are so severe that they threaten hair-loss altogether.
Sometimes, being on a certain prescribed drug, such as an anti-depressant or birth control pill, can play a huge roll in your hair loss. Try to think back and remember if you started any new drugs or medications around the time your hair loss started. Most often this will be the case, and the solution is as easy as switching medications. Also, iron and zinc deficiencies can cause a type of hair loss known as Telogen Effluvium. Starvation, alcoholism, or other types of chronic nutritional deprivation can also cause hair loss. Discontinuation of these practices almost always corrects the problem, and requires no further treatment.
Hair loss can be devastating to a woman, especially if she is young. Don’t be afraid of losing your hair, because there is plenty that you can do to keep it! Just remember not to panic or give up. Find a good doctor, get a checkup, and find out the reason. Once you isolate the reason, than your hair is as good as back again.
