Yes, it's Mr. Issac Mizrahi and no it's not because of his incredible line of clothing and accessories but it's because of his gorgeous personality and honesty. There is an article in the October issue of ELLE ("Eyes Wide Open"), where he is interviewed and he talks about his new book (How to Have Style) and his new role as Creative Director at Liz Claiborne. He immediately says a few things that I have always felt to be true, check it out:"Stylists have made it hard to distinguish who really has style and whose paid for it. Stylist culture has obsucred an appreciation for design. No one cares at all about design anymore, I'm not talking about quality. There are as many ugly clothes in Wal-Mart as there are in Chanel couture, and you can quote me on that, okay? And there are as many gorgeous things. No one ever believes that I believe that. Take a Chanel suit and an L.L. Bean tote bag. They are both equally good. I swear. I swear it. What do they have in common? The luxury of a great idea, of gorgeous, perfect execution, like a boat that floats and never sinks. And they have in common cultural gravitas. Like when you see the gold buttons on that boucle suit and they pull you in and when you see the L.L. Bean tote and you're like, Oooh, I know what that is!"
