Here she is, Miss America. The Miss America crown was won by Indiana’s own Katie Stam, a student at the University of Indianapolis, People.com is reporting.

Stam was among four Miss America finalists that were voted on by viewers of the competition, a new development after 88 years of pageantry. The show was aired on TLC and hosted by Mario Lopez.

Last year’s Miss America winner, Kirsten Haglund of Michigan, crowned Stam, who also walks away with a $50,000 scholarship as well as her title.
