Another black and blue

I’ve spoken before about the fear of wearing two non matching colors together in public. Maybe not matching, but somewhat not socially acceptable to wear together – as if rules still applied, but whatever. Black and blue and black and brown are usually the most taboo combinations. Something about wearing dark colors simultaneously is somehow forbidden by many people. Granted, it can look strange if done the wrong way. But in the end, we all wear exactly what we want to no matter what anyone says (right?) Anyway, I paired up black and blue this time, but in the hopes of staying warm.

So it’s been lot’s of layering for me. It’s been getting pretty cold here, although I am sure some of you would scoff at how cold we actually get. It’s just that we (meaning I) are not used to it, don’t think I will ever be.

To top it all off, I found this jacket at H&M the other day. Since on our trip to visit the mountains I realized that I have no casual jackets for winter wear (trench coats, pea coats, evening jackets galore). I’d been swooning over this really old one from Fornarina, but it never pops up on ebay. So when these were on sale at H&M, I really couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

who can resist a furry hood? I’m going to detach it and wear it with other outfits.

Yes, my molehill of books is turning into a massive mountain that is getting out of control. I’m running out of space.
