So I originally went into Sephora to look for concealer BUT somehow I ended up walking out with lipstick instead. How? I have no idea…
I swear I have a problem.
I was determined to look for concealer because I have these hideous dark circles under my eyes. I thought it was odd being that I’m only 20 years old and I look like a raccoon (and it’s NOT my eyeliner). But after reading the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar I realized “OK” it does happen to young people.
So I’m looking at some concealers trying to pick my “perfect” shade and I started getting overwhelmed with all of the choices and convinced myself that none of them fit my complexion (which is a total lie but I’m trying to justify my purchase so bear with me).
So I head on over the the Clinique section because I’ve heard great reviews on Clinique all on MUA and from other beauty fanatics.

While over at Clinique I noticed they had a WIDE selection of lipsticks. With the intent of BROWSING I went over to BROWSE the lipsticks… just browse…
But then I decided to try them on…just try…
Then I found myself at the register with one in my hands….I swear I don’t remember what happened from the time I tried on the first lipstick to the time at the register. I think I blacked out. I don’t know.
Anyways…it was a good pick. All this talk of lipstick lately has been brewing in my subconscious. Well…maybe I should just let my subconscious take over when I shop ‘cuz this was a perfect fit.
The lipstick is called Different Lipstick. And it is different because this feels smooth and comfortable and not like the average lipstick. This was like a semi-gloss to me.

The color that I got is Tenderheart. It has a nice sheer coverage. The best part…it’s more of a “nude” color. So I can wear it everyday no matter what I’m wearing (compared to the other two lipsticks that I own..one being Drop Dead Red by Too Faced and the other is a pink one by Sephora brand).
Clinique Different Lipstick in Tenderheart
This is another color that I kinda want and almost bought but told the salesclerk to put away when I hit the register. It’s called Spiced Apple and it kind of falls in the same category as Tenderheart but it gives off more color. There’s a pinkish-reddish hue when applied on the lips. It’s a great color but I opted for the one that’s most versatile- there are just some days when I just want to look natural (even if it’s not).
Any thoughts…preferably on how I can stop the shopping!

I just blogged MAC Fafi not so long ago but it feels like ages since we last discussed MAC doesn’t it? It does however deserve to be mentioned that I’m enjoying how well MAC is doing with releases lately. They are spaced apart very nicely and I’m not seeing a huge flow of releases as we did last year. We seriously were borderline 3 collections a month or something last year and it was a bit too much for me to keep up with! But it’s been almost a month since Fafi’s release now and I’m liking the jive of MAC spacing it’s releases apart! I hope they keep it up!
MAC has two new Collections up and available for purchase at the moment one of which I’ll most definately be overindulging in myself! Obviously you can guess which one right?
Beauty Powder Blush!
I’ve heard so many rave reviews about the Beauty Powder Blushes and I’m definately picking up a few for myself!
The newest color story consists of eight beauty powders and two brushes.
I heart MAC Beauty Powders anyway and the idea of a pigmented beauty powder really thrills me. Most of the Beauty Powders I have either have a healthy dose of shimmer or are a matte color. Both of which are best used for highlighting! These new Beauty Powders are more pigmented so you can honestly get away with wearing them as a blush I’d say!
The colors appear very vibrant and bold so using them alone or to beef up your favorite blush will make the a cool multitasking tool to have in your beauty arsenal!
I’m currently lemming Joyous, Sweetness, and Serenely!
Each powder is $17.50 USD which is about a $3 difference from the standard MAC Blush. I believe these are about the same size as a MAC Blush as well and not the bigger compacts that some Beauty Powders have been known to come in!
I’m loving the look of the MAC 169 as well since it appears the perfect tool for application!
Honestly, I’m really wanting a few of these!
Want ‘em?
Loving these?
Getting any?
Tell the Muse!

Lauren Conrad, Hill’s star, has made her runway debut yesterday at the L.A. fashion week.
Lauren’s Fall 2008 collection is a little bit more sophisticated than her Spring line. It can be observed that the jersey fabric was still used in Lauren’s design, draped and accessorized by belts. Few bold prints were also added to spice up the monochromatic color palette. Bows were present, which added sophistication to the plain dresses, as well as the promised Parisian influence in the french beret and a few hair pieces.
Overall it was sexy and wearable. It flaunts one’s figure!

The 6th Japanese Fashion Week kicked off yesterday in Tokyo that will include 45 labels including 10 newcomers to show their 2008-’09 Autumn/Winter Collection.
Hiromi Yoshida presented her collection with forest as the theme.

Hidenobu Yasui’s concentrated on long dresses in navy and off white shades.

Traditional Japanese outfit Kimono grabbed all the attention of the audiences on the second day of the Japanese Fashion Week. Jotaro Saito, a third generation Kimono Designer, presented Kimonos in prints and bright shades.

Unlike in Paris and New York, the fashion week in Tokyo is a low-key affair. Buyers and editors, wore black so that they will not outshine the models, make up the majority of the front row.
